Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the website erlaw.ae and its related services (the "Website"), operated by Eman Alrifai Advocates and Legal Consultants ("ERLaw", "we", "us"). By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. No legal advice
The content of the Website, including articles, insights and FAQs, is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied on as such. Laws in the United Arab Emirates change and their application depends on the facts of each matter. You should obtain specific advice from a qualified lawyer before acting or refraining from acting on any information on the Website.
2. No lawyer–client relationship
Using the Website, submitting the contact form, booking a consultation or sending a message through the live chat does not create a lawyer–client relationship. A relationship is formed only when ERLaw confirms in writing that it accepts your instructions, following its conflict checks and engagement terms. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until we have confirmed that we act for you.
3. Consultation bookings
Booking a consultation through the Website is a request for an appointment. We may confirm, reschedule or decline a booking. Fees for consultations and legal services are agreed separately in writing.
4. Live chat
The live chat lets you send enquiries to our team. Replies in the chat are general responses to help direct your enquiry and are not legal advice. Chat conversations are recorded so that our team can follow up; see our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Website, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access to it or to our systems, introducing malicious code, submitting false information, sending unsolicited or automated messages, or using the Website in breach of the laws of the UAE, including Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumours and Cybercrimes.
6. Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including text, graphics, logos and the ERLaw name and marks, are owned by or licensed to ERLaw and are protected by UAE and international intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify it and you keep all copyright notices.
7. Third-party links
The Website may link to third-party websites, including maps and social media. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and ERLaw is not liable for any loss arising from the use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content, or from the Website being unavailable.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website applies from the date shown above.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
